I remember my kids being very excited at the idea of marketing their hand-made accessories and being very insistent sales people. I'm ashamed to say I have no idea what happened to mine. They do seem so much more precious now.
Beachcomb and collect some shells.
If they aren't whole that's fine.
Use a sharp nail and hammer to gently make holes in the shells.
Decide on the arrangements of the shells.
Thread them onto string. (Ours was very thick, thinner would be better).
We tied knots between each shell to keep them in place.
We used sliding knots so the lengths of the necklaces could be adjusted.
